i spent several days working on getting the e-mail functionality in mobile trainer working.
i've got most of it functional at this point: i have two e-mail addresses on a self-hosted server which can both send and receive mail, both internally and externally.
yes, this means that at the present you can send e-mail from mobile trainer to any public e-mail address.
return addresses were a pain to get working; even my current solution seems like it's going to be a pain to automate, once i make an automated method for signing up.
the other big hitch is that i'm struggling to find a safe method of forwarding access to my POP and SMTP servers out to the web at large. any method i've looked into so far has locked itself to a list of a few specific protocols, which POP and SMTP have not been options on.
for that matter, i also need to figure out how to forward my custom DNS server, which redirects gameboy.datacenter.ne.jp to gameboy-datacenter.cello2wc.com, and stuff like that.
a fully functional mobile center is still a long way out...... but i'm making steps!!
